Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office, a central government public authority based in London, UK, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for intervention services. This initiative aims to support individuals potentially at risk of engaging in criminal activities and is guided by the Procurement Act 2023. The procurement engagement is underway, with the market engagement scheduled to close on 13th June 2025. Interested suppliers are invited to express interest by completing an early market engagement questionnaire, accessible upon signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The main procurement category is services, specifically within the specialist training services industry, and the contract period is anticipated to start on 1st September 2026, extending potentially to August 2030.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) capable of delivering intervention services. Suppliers with expertise in safety-related training services stand to benefit by aligning their offerings with the Home Office's focus on public safety and criminal activity prevention. By engaging in the market process, businesses can demonstrate their capacity to fulfil the Home Office's requirements, influence procurement design, and potentially secure a contractual relationship through this above-threshold procurement initiative.
