Notice Description

In accordance with the Provider Selection Regime (Regulations 2023) this is an intent to award notice. Following a 2 stage competitive process, the recommendation is to award the contract for Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles Service (Lot 1 and Lot 2) to ABL Health Ltd. As they are the provider that passed the checks conducted under the Basic Selection Criteria and provided the lowest Value per Other Key Criteria point score. The Council commissions Adult Lifestyle Services (Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles) as part of the service branded as One You Kent (OYK). The Services are divided into the following work packages (Lots): Lot 1 - Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking Service Lot 2 - Adult Lifestyles Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyle Service Name of Provider who will deliver the Service to both Lot 1 and Lot 2 is ABL Health Ltd, 71 Redgate Way, Bolton, BL4 0JL

Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking Service

In accordance with the Provider Selection Regime (Regulations 2023) this is an intent to award notice. Following a 2 stage competitive process, the recommendation is to award the contract for Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles Service (Lot 1 and Lot 2) to ABL Health Ltd. As they are the provider that passed the checks conducted under the Basic Selection Criteria and provided the lowest Value per Other Key Criteria point score. The Council commissions Adult Lifestyle Services (Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles) as part of the service branded as One You Kent (OYK). The current service provision commenced on 1st April 2020 and is due to expire on 31st March 2026. This relates to the provision of Adult Lifestyle Services commencing from 1st April 2026. The Services are divided into the following work packages (Lots): Lot 1 - Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking Service Lot 2 - Adult Lifestyles Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyle Service The total contract value for the full contract should all extensions be enacted is; Lot 1 - PS10,485,533.26 Proposed start and end date; 1/4/2026 - 31/3/2029 There is the potential for a contract extension of 2 x 1 year(s) (24 months), depending on both the success in achieving the required outcomes and the availability of further funding. The individuals involved in the evaluation process were. Luke Edwards - Senior Commissioner Judith Bellingham - Commissioner Debbie Smith - Public Health Specialist Alan Luke - Strategic Procurement and Commercial Lead (Moderator) Nikki Foster - Note taker The Providers were asked quality questions against the 5 key criteria, with a scoring criterion between A-F. The decision to award the contract was taken by Dr Anjan Ghosh, Director of Public Health. Name of Provider who will deliver the Service; ABL Health Ltd 71 Redgate Way Bolton BL4 OJL Conflicts of interest were managed throughout the process, none were declared. Additional information: Following moderation, the evaluation methodology applied to the tender process was the Value per Other Key Criteria Point evaluation method. The award of the contract was based on this methodology.
