The Site Characterisation Delivery Partner (SCDP) supports NWS in its design and delivery management of the Deep Investigation Boreholes, including supporting NWS in procurement and management of contracted services required to deliver the drilling of the boreholes.
Planning Information
Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) has conducted a number of pre-market engagements with the market on this intended procurement prior to the Procurement Act 2023 coming into effect in February 2025. The details of these engagements and the output of them have been captured in the document referenced SCDP PA23 Pre-Market Engagement Summary GDF-NWS-SCDP-AXX-CC-CS-000032 Which has been uploaded to the webpage detailed below, NWS plans to continue its engagement with the market via its dedicated Site Characterisation Delivery Partner webpage on the website which can be accessed via this link Site Characterisation Delivery Partner - Nuclear Waste Services or typing https://www.nuclearwasteservices.uk/2025/09/site-characterisation-delivery-partner/ into your web browser. On the above webpage NWS shall upload draft documentation relating to the procurement as they become available The intent is to allow the market to review the documentation, provide feedback and comments and where required request direct engagement with NWS either via Teams calls or face to face meetings. As a result of engagement with the market, NWS may decide to publish on the above webpage new or amended versions of previously published documents prior to the Tender Notice being issued.
