Notice Information
Notice Title
TfL Infrastructure Lighting Equipment and Electric Lamps
Notice Description
Transport for London (TfL) is issuing a preliminary market engagement notice to obtain market feedback in relation to the supply of Lighting across a range of Infrastructure activities for several different TfL business units by issuing a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ). The primary focus of the MSQ is to better understand the market, supplier appetite, capacity, and capability, as well as perceived risks and opportunities. The engagement will also provide feedback and help to develop the strategy for the procurement. The purpose of the procurement is to support the areas within TfL, by allowing goods to be supplied through the contract, ensuring value for money for TfL. TfL envisage that the procurement could be an open framework which will be reopened to competition during the life of the framework, however this could change following feedback from the market and TfL reserve the right to change our procurement approach. Full details of the MSQ and how to engage in the process can be found in the notice below. The required goods covered under this framework include: * 26,000 LED lights/lamps per annum for 3-5 years while we convert to LED for Enhancement Capital. * Then in maintenance, we will need to continue to renew all LED lights/lamps managed failures with a total asset base/count of luminaries up to 250,000 of various design types/technology and their associated failure rates. Please note these are only initial approx. qtys in order to provide suppliers with some indication of requirements; they will be refined and developed and reviewed prior to any formal procurement. Please note the main procurement category is goods, however we are also interested to know which suppliers can additionally provide design services and also installation services of the goods in the contract.
