Rationale: The Authority intends to directly award a contract to Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust under the Direct Award Process C. Clinical criteria: Suitable / compatible analytical methodology, appropriate reference ranges and clinical comments, availability of useful clinical advice (based on national reputation, and/or experience and/or user feedback) UKAS Accredited (or ETS applied for and pending assessment) This decision to proceed with Direct Award C is based on the following criteria: * The authority is not required to follow Direct Award A or B. * The new contract will replace the existing contract upon its expiration. * The considerable change threshold is not met. * The existing provider is performing satisfactorily and is expected to continue to do so. * The provider meets the basic selection criteria. The new contract will cover a Biochemistry laboratory testing service, for a duration of 36 months and is valued at PS45,000.",
