This contract falls under the refuse and waste-related services industry category. Businesses should be aware that participating organisations are invited to complete a Market Engagement Questionnaire, with submissions due by 2 July 2025. The new service arrangements are slated to commence on 1 December 2026 and will cover locations in the United Kingdom, specifically in the UKJ region, with contract periods lasting up to five years beginning on that date. This upcoming tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for those with expertise in waste management and disposal services. Especially suitable for SMEs, this contract involves the provision of a material processing facility capable of handling approximately 30,000 tonnes of mixed paper and card annually. Suppliers who can ensure service continuity, have robust environmental policies for maximising recycling and reuse, and can offer a competitive Contract Income Amount per Tonne, stand to benefit from this procurement process. Engaging in this contract not only facilitates revenue generation but also aligns with sustainable environmental practices by helping to recover materials in line with the waste hierarchy.
