BC - Supported Living Provision
Notice Description
The City of Wolverhampton Council is reviewing the market with a view to re tendering our existing supported living provision. BC* is a City of Wolverhampton Council building that was specifically set up to ensure suitable supported living which is specialised in person-centred care and support service for adults (aged 17+) with autism, particularly those within the Transforming Care cohort who may also have forensic needs, learning disabilities, or mental health difficulties. The scheme comprises of 7 one-bedroom flats for adults aged 17 and above with complex mental health needs. BC* Supported Living Service supports people with complex mental health needs to individuals who have had chaotic lifestyles and who would benefit from a re-ablement programme delivered within a 24-hour service. They will generally be: Aged 17+ years and over. Have autism or autistic traits, often with significant sensory and environmental needs. Are part of the Transforming Care cohort, which includes individuals transitioning from hospital or institutional settings into community-based living. May have forensic needs, meaning they have a history of behaviours that are considered challenging or risky, and may have been involved with the Criminal Justice System or specialist hospital services. May also have learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, or co-occurring conditions. Require specialist, person-centred support to live as independently as possible in a community setting.
