Notice Description
This is a contract award notice for specialist learning provision which can help to mitigate the risk of harm to individual persons and young people in the Council's care, and protect their wellbeing and that of employees, visitors and members of the public.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Delivery to approximately 300 new and 500 refresh individuals of specialist learning provision, including debriefing and physical intervention (safe holding) and escapes (disengagement) which can help to mitigate the risk of harm to individual persons and young people in the Council's care, and protect their wellbeing and that of employees, visitors and members of the public. Additional information: 4 year contract with the option to extend for up to another 4 years in 12 month extensions
Options: Optional extension of 4 x 1 year
Procurement Information
This training is essential to organisational service delivery and is a statutory duty. In this instance, changing to a new system would have significant practical, resource and cost of change implications. Training of 170 to 200 facilitators to undertake the delivery of required learning, in a single year, brings risks to staff and client safety whilst maintaining "business as usual". For these reasons, there are no financially, administratively reasonable or viable alternatives available.
