This procurement falls under the goods industry category with a substantial budget of £140 million, grossing up to £168 million. The procurement process has reached the tender stage as of 12 January 2026, with all relevant documents available. The procurement process encourages participation from various businesses, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Businesses with ISO and CE certifications, a valid Carbon Reduction Plan, and strong cyber security measures are particularly well-suited to compete. The framework agreement offers a comprehensive platform for long-term partnership and expansion, with a base contract period starting on 1 April 2027 and ending on 31 March 2029, potentially extending up to 2031. This structure provides a stable and predictable opportunity to deliver essential medical products and services to the NHS.
