Summary of the contracting process

The Bracknell Forest Borough Council has successfully awarded the "Integrated Sexual Health Service" contract, concluding a competitive tender process conducted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This tender represents significant business growth opportunities for organisations specialising in health services, particularly those focussed on sexual and reproductive health. The contract is aimed at providing comprehensive services, including prevention, testing, treatment, and counselling, reflecting high-quality and community-focused standards. With Bracknell Forest Borough Council and the other councils placing a high emphasis on quality (55%) and innovation, businesses excelling in delivering sustainable, integrated health solutions should find this a pertinent opportunity. The successful bidder, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, was selected based on combined criteria of quality, price (40%), and social value (5%), suggesting that businesses capable of delivering value across these areas would be well-positioned contenders in similar future opportunities.
