Lift Maintenance & Repairs Service
Notice Description
Great Places Housing Group is responsible for over 27,000 homes and properties across the North West and South Yorkshire. This contract is for the planned preventative maintenance and responsive repair of passenger lifts and domestic stair lifts across a diverse property portfolio, including residential blocks, sheltered housing, offices, and community facilities. For passenger lifts, platform lifts, step lifts, through-floor lifts, and stair lifts installed within the Employer's Properties, the awarded Contractor will complete to best industry practice: (1) Lift Servicing (2) Reactive maintenance / responsive repairs (3) 24/7/365 entrapment response. The contract will cover properties located in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and South Yorkshire. This covered procurement is was conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023, using the open procedure. Tenders were submitted via the e-tendering portal, ProContract.

Options: GPHG may exercise the following options while the contract is valid: a) Successful suppliers may be invited to quote for installation works. b) Suppliers may deliver additional services/works or location that are in keeping with the nature of the contract for presently unknown variables, such as: > to support other departments within Great Places > to help to meet carbon net zero objectives > supporting any incoming or new regulatory and legislative changes > in cases of urgency > supply chain delays > in cases of an alternative contract failure or termination > in cases of GPHG staff absence or illness c) in the event GPHG acquires additional stock, e.g. through merger, contract or other acquisition, then GPHG reserves the right to extend the contract by a further period of 1 year and up to 50% value. d) All bids are to remain valid for a period of 6 months.

Scope of services We invite suppliers to complete an online survey, accessible via desktop or mobile: https://forms.office.com/e/6BR8uRtSnY The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous by default, but you may leave your contact details if you wish to be notified when the tender is published. Respondents must declare any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest. Deadline for responses: Monday 14th July 2025 Great Places reserves the right to extend this deadline at its discretion. Great Places reserves the right to conduct additional preliminary market engagement notice not described in this notice to help meet the objectives of the PME. This notice is issued in accordance with Sections 16 and 17 of the Procurement Act 2023 and is for preliminary market engagement only. It is not a call for competition. Participation in this exercise is voluntary and not a prerequisite for bidding in any future procurement. The formal tender process will be conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and associated regulations.
