Summary of the contracting process

NHS North East London Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract for providing lymphedema and complex wound care services to residents of Tower Hamlets, Newham, and Waltham Forest. This tender falls under the health services category and was conducted according to the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) without the need for prior competition. The service is scheduled to run until 31st March 2026, with the contract having been formally awarded on 21st July 2025. The value of the contract is £1,181,272.06, and it is part of an effort to address both local and national access inequalities.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, such as wound management and patient care, to enhance their visibility and establish credibility within the NHS framework. While Accelerate CIC, the incumbent provider, retains the contract due to the satisfactory fulfilment of its current terms, similar companies offering exceptional quality and innovation in healthcare delivery might find future opportunities within NHS tenders. Businesses with expertise in promoting social value, as well as those incorporating integration and collaboration into their services, would be well-positioned to compete for similar contracts.
