In respect of this, Telford & Wrekin Council will tender for a service provider to work alongside our: * Childrens Services CATE Team, that specialises in services for children and young people who are affected by child exploitation and harm outside of the home; our * Safer Communities service, engaging in targeted work within our communities; and our * Education Safeguarding function, recognising that school is an essential protective factor in childrens lives. Primary and secondary schools, alongside early years settings, alternative provision and further education, are vital in identifying and safeguarding children at risk of exploitation, but do not always have the right tools to do so. The Service is the provision of: specialist mentoring and empowerment service to identified young people to support them to reject the cycle of exploitation; a community outreach response, and; an awareness programme to upskill and support key partners and groups in communities across the borough.
