Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the 20-336 Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Recovery Service pertains to a Non-Core Framework Call Off titled "WO 008," executed by Rotherham Borough Council. This process focuses on providing health services within Rotherham, where the framework agreement was initially established on 1st April 2023. The procurement method used is a limited award procedure, permitted under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The contract was awarded to the single provider "We are with you" without a competitive process, as per the framework agreement terms. The framework is planned for an initial five-year term, with the option to extend annually for an additional five years. The contract, valued at £1,386,994, was signed on 2nd June 2025.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health services, particularly those focusing on alcohol and drug treatment and recovery. Companies offering services such as harm reduction, outreach support, clinical capacity improvement, and client support for mental health issues could find growth prospects by supplying such services. Furthermore, organisations with a focus on community-based health service delivery and those invested in increasing assessment and outreach capacity, especially for young people and clients with dual diagnoses, will find this contract particularly suitable. The Rotherham Borough Council's alignment with new legislation and dedication to enhancing local health services suggests a favorable environment for service providers to expand their offerings while contributing to community health improvements.
