Summary of the contracting process

The Cabinet Office is currently in the planning stage for a tender process concerning the development of the Single Network Analytics Platform (SNAP) 2.0. This initiative, aimed at enhancing fraud prevention through an Azure-native solution, falls under the public authority central government classification. Located in London, the Cabinet Office has issued a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) notice to outline its requirements and engage potential suppliers. The industry category centres around services, specifically IT and software services, with an emphasis on analytics and AI technology. The PME is scheduled until 26th September 2025, with subsequent activities leading to a formal tender expected in early 2026, pending approval from the Cabinet Office Investment Committee.

This contracting process offers immense opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, including those with expertise in software development, AI solutions, and cloud-based platforms. Companies proficient in delivering scalable knowledge graphs, machine learning-driven tools, and risk assessment technologies will find this tender particularly suitable. Furthermore, the process is designed to foster participation from SMEs and new market entrants, opening avenues for innovative solutions and partnerships. Engaging in this tender process could position businesses to work on a high-profile government project, potentially securing a long-term contract of up to £3 million per annum, if fully exercised.
