Summary of the contracting process

Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation established a framework for stairlifts and associated services for YPO and other public sector contracting authorities. Each lot has an estimated value of £70,000,000 excluding VAT (£84,000,000 including VAT). The contracts run from 26 August 2026 to 25 August 2030, except Lot 5, which ends on 30 August 2030. Lot 1 was awarded to Pollock Lifts, Premier Mobility, Prism UK Medical, Saadia, Savaria Lifts, Stannah, TK Access Solutions and Wessex Lift. Lot 2 has five suppliers; Lots 3 and 5 have seven each; Lot 4 has five; Lot 6 has eight; service sub-lots 7.1–7.6 have between three and eight suppliers. Lot 8 was awarded to Wessex Lift. Evaluation weighted quality at 50%, cost at 30%, and social value and sustainability at 20%.

This framework demonstrates sustained public sector demand for accessibility and mobility equipment across the United Kingdom, covering both supply and dependable installation, servicing and maintenance. Suppliers that were well placed included specialist lift and stairlift manufacturers, mobility equipment businesses, national service providers and smaller regional firms. Credibility requires the technical and economic capacity to supply the relevant equipment, install it safely, and provide responsive aftercare across the required supply area. Strong operational processes, onsite execution, account management, customer care, communication, governance, relationship management and reporting were central to the quality assessment. Competitors also needed credible social value and environmental initiatives, with modern slavery controls. Service specialists should note that the maintenance sub-lots were linked to success on the equipment lots, while multi-product capability enabled access to the combined call-off route.

Lot Information

Seated Stairlifts - Straight and Curved

Perch Stairlifts
