Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for "Water Quality Management" led by APUC Limited involves the provision of services to various Higher and Further Education Institutions across Scotland, as well as entities in England and Wales. This tender falls under the services category, specifically related to risk or hazard assessment other than for construction. Located in the United Kingdom, the procurement process is currently in the tender update stage. Key dates include an amended submission deadline of 7th October 2025, due to legislative delays, with the Framework Agreement expected to commence on 1st December 2025. The process follows an open procurement method, allowing for a wide range of participants, and covers multiple regions, promising substantial involvement across the UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in water quality management, particularly those capable of offering comprehensive services including risk assessment, sampling, and treatment. The contract is structured to include several lots, with up to 22 contractors being sought for framework participation, which opens the door for various companies to secure long-term partnerships in these public sectors. Companies focusing on services related to water-treatment chemicals, filtering or purifying apparatus, and tank-cleaning services stand to benefit. Participation in this framework not only allows businesses to establish or expand their client base but also aligns them with the ethical and environmental benchmarks outlined by APUC, enhancing their market competitiveness and sustainability credentials.
