Summary of the contracting process

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is initiating a procurement process for Paediatric Audiology Insourcing services, focusing on clearing a backlog of 212 patients under the age of four requiring audiometry assessments. Categorised under Medical hospital services, this process targets the services industry and is located in Kings Lynn, UK (region UKH16). This Provider Selection Regime (PSR) follows the Health Care Services Regulations 2023, excluding Public Contracts Regulations 2015, and initially planned to run from the earliest possible start until 31st March 2026. The procurement stage has transitioned from planning to an updated tender stage noted on 3rd December 2025.

This tender opens up growth opportunities primarily for audiology service providers experienced in paediatric assessments and habilitations. Suitable businesses are those with STP-qualified professionals registered with HCPC and RCCP, possessing certificates from BAA and operating in accredited paediatric departments. Providers must deliver regular clinics for various paediatric audiology services and demonstrate up-to-date clinical competence through continuous professional development. Businesses meeting the outlined professional criteria stand to benefit from delivery contracts with a value of £15,000, providing long-term stability and market presence in this specialised medical service area.
