Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process initiated by Falkirk Council involves a framework agreement for gas heating replacement in council housing properties within the Falkirk area. Classified under the construction work category, the project is valued at approximately £5.1 million. Conducted via an open procedure, this process is structured in two stages focusing on quality and pricing, with the aim to establish agreements with 3 to 8 suppliers. Key dates include the tender period end on 24th October 2025. Located in the UKM76 region, this project represents significant public construction efforts directed towards housing improvements.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses involved in gas heating appliance installations, electrical, and associated builder works. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in construction and maintenance sectors, especially those well-versed in open procedure procurement processes, would find this opportunity particularly advantageous. Suppliers poised to deliver competitive tenders in terms of quality and cost can benefit from the prospects of forming long-term partnerships with the local authority, thereby enhancing their market presence and business portfolio in the public sector.
