This project involves the repair and replacement of fire doors, specifically targeting stair cores and risers. The procurement, classified under the construction and joinery categories, is valued at approximately £375,000 with an outlined budget of up to £450,000. The tender, currently in the active stage, was made available starting the week commencing 27th October 2025, with tender responses due by noon on 24th November 2025. Small to medium-sized enterprises and voluntary community sector entities with expertise in fire door installation and regulatory compliance will be well-positioned to compete. The open procurement method encourages wide participation, allowing companies to showcase their technical and commercial capabilities, which account for 90% of the award criteria, alongside demonstrating social value.
