Summary of the contracting process

This public procurement process, initiated by the Home Office, is currently in the planning stage for the provision of Uniform, Clothing, Equipment and Protection Products (UCEP). The procurement focuses on supplying a wide array of goods including police uniforms and equipment to several Home Office directorates such as Border Force and Immigration Enforcement. Located in London, the Home Office is a central government authority, and this process aims to replace an existing managed service contract with a more efficient, scalable solution. The market engagement phase will involve a virtual supplier event on 16 October 2025, with interest allowed until 30 October 2025. Organisations must register on the eSourcing Portal and complete certain steps before participation, with a deadline for feedback submissions by 31 October 2025.

This tender represents an opportunity for businesses to collaborate with a central government body in the UK, presenting growth prospects for companies in the clothing, equipment, and protective gear sectors. Enterprises involved in uniform and equipment supply, particularly those offering scalable and sustainable solutions, stand to benefit. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSE) are encouraged to compete, given the preference for a flexible procurement procedure that may end in either single or multi-supplier contract(s). The process is designed to foster dynamic business approaches, ensuring that suppliers with robust supply chain management capabilities can effectively support national and international Home Office operations.
