Provision of Residual Waste Transfer Services in East Lancashire (4 Lots)
Notice Description
Lancashire County Council is seeking tenders for the provision of residual waste transfer services in East Lancashire. The requirements have been split into four lots covering the four East Lancashire district areas of Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, and Rossendale. The Services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of Residual Waste arising from the Waste Collection Authority district area and delivered to a Provider's Facility by the Waste Collection Authority, the Authority and/or their transport contractor(s).
Lot Information
Burnley
The services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of approximately 24,000 tonnes of residual waste arising from the Burnley district per annum.
Options: The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.
Renewal: The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
HyndburnThe services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of approximately 21,250 tonnes of residual waste arising from the Hyndburn district per annum.
Options: The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.
Renewal: The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
PendleThe services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of approximately 27,000 tonnes of residual waste arising from the Pendle district per annum.
Options: The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.
Renewal: The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
RossendaleThe services will comprise the acceptance, weighing, segregated storage, handling and loading of approximately 17,150 tonnes of residual waste arising from the Rossendale district per annum.
Options: The initial term from the service commencement date will be two (2) years with the option to extend by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty four (24) months. The total maximum Contract duration from the service commencement date being four (4) years.
Renewal: The initial term is two (2) years from the service commencement date and the Council may, in its absolute discretion, extend the term by a further period or periods of twelve (12) months up to a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. At either the end of the initial term or extended/maximum term, there may be a requirement for the services to continue, in this instance the services may be re-procured.
