Summary of the contracting process

This public procurement process involves NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services, managed by Velindre University NHS Trust, searching for providers to deliver training services on the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA). The contract is focused on delivering this specialised training within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in Wales, targeting the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Care Group. This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in training services, particularly those familiar with delivering complex modules related to violence and aggression management in healthcare settings. Ideal candidates would be organisations holding relevant certifications like Restraint Reduction Network and ISO standards, proficient in delivering both planned and reactive training interventions. The open procedure allows various suppliers, including SMEs and VCSEs, to participate, enhancing local supply chain involvement and social value creation. The contract requires the ability to maintain compliance with health and safety policies and a commitment to sustainability, aligning with NHS Wales's goals to reduce carbon footprint and uphold the Well-being of Future Generations Act 2015. Businesses meeting these criteria and prepared to offer robust and adaptive training models will find this tender a promising avenue for expansion within the Welsh public sector.
