Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for "Neurodevelopmental and Mental Health Services NH2100" is led by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, located in North Shields, UK. This contract, under the classification of Health and social work services, focuses on improving outcomes for individuals aged five to 25 with mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions. The process is in the tender update stage, with a contract commencement date proposed for 1st November 2025. The standstill period for representation ends on 24th October 2025. The procurement is carried out under the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, with an award procedure without prior competition publication, given the direct award to the incumbent provider.

This tender offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in innovative health service delivery models. Businesses adept in providing digital multidisciplinary health and social services would be well-positioned to compete, especially if they can demonstrate improvements in service efficiency and reduced waiting times. The procurement process represents a limited market due to the direct award nature, offering opportunities primarily for large-scale providers like Healios Ltd, the existing service provider, to continue or expand service fulfilment under the renewed terms set by the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
