Summary of the contracting process

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is organising a procurement process concerning the acquisition of a realistic training simulation system for fire control operators. This initiative, currently in the planning stage, is crafted to enhance the preparedness and performance of such operators by simulating emergency call scenarios. Located in Northallerton within the United Kingdom, this tender pertains to industry categories including training simulators and emergency services equipment. Significant dates include a market engagement deadline scheduled for 14th November 2025. While the overarching aim is to support the continuous professional development of operators, the procurement will also feature objectives such as reducing response times and improving decision-making under stress. The anticipated contract period extends from January 2026 to December 2028, with the possibility of renewal.
