Summary of the contracting process

Oxfordshire County Council has completed the awarding stage of a procurement process titled "OCC Street Design Code." This contract involves consultancy services to support the development of a new street design code for the county. The process focused on the transport systems consultancy services category and targeted the Oxfordshire region. The procurement method used was limited competition, as the contract value fell below the threshold. The contract was active from 7th October 2025, with a completion deadline of March 2026 and involved a supplier known as CREATE STREETS LTD. The procurement aligns with the UK's public authority - sub-central government classifications.

This tender presents significant opportunities for companies within the transport systems consultancy sector, especially those experienced in developing urban infrastructure codes and design guidelines. Businesses providing consultancy support and those with a history of engaging with various stakeholders in planning and development would particularly benefit. With a contract value of £76,000, companies such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) keen on expanding their portfolio in public sector projects can find this an excellent opportunity for growth by contributing to a project involving collaboration across multiple district authorities in Oxfordshire.
