Notice Description
This framework is for Clinical and Pathology Microscopes and Related Accessories and Services including and not limited to those listed below. Precise quantities are unknown. It is anticipated that initial expenditure will be PS22,518,282.00 (incl.VAT) in the first year of this Framework Agreement, however this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. Estimated value over the total Framework Agreement term (including any extension options), is approximately PS99,636,610.00 (incl. VAT). The intended Lot Structure for this procurement is set out as follows: * Lot 1 Theatre Microscopes and Related Accessories and Services * Lot 2 Outpatient Microscopes and Related Accessories and Services * Lot 3 Pathology Microscopes and Related Accessories and Services This procurement exercise will be conducted on the NHS Supply Chain eTendering portal at https://nhssupplychain.app.jaggaer.com//Candidates wishing to be considered for this contract must register their expression of interest and provide additional procurement-specific information (if required) through the NHS Supply Chain eTendering portal as follows: Registration. 1. Lot Information
Theatre Microscopes and Related Accessories and Services
This Lot covers the supply of theatre microscopes and/or exoscopes for use within an operating theatre supporting a range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
Options: This Framework Agreement will have the option to extend for up to a further 24 Months.
Renewal: There will be an option to extend the Framework for up to a further 24 months. If the extension period will be utilised, then the total value of the Framework across the 4 year would be PS99,636,610.00 incl VAT.
Outpatient Microscopes and Related Accessories and ServicesThis Lot covers the supply of outpatient microscopes and/or exoscopes designed for use in a range of clinical procedures and examinations.
Options: This Framework Agreement will have the option to extend for up to a further 24 Months.
Renewal: There will be an option to extend the Framework for up to a further 24 months. If the extension period will be utilised, then the total value of the Framework across the 4 year would be PS99,636,610.00 incl VAT.
Pathology Microscopes and Related Accessories and ServicesThis Lot covers the supply of pathology microscopes designed for use in clinical and laboratory environments for a varied range of disciplines.
Options: This Framework Agreement will have the option to extend for up to a further 24 Months.

Planning Information
We are seeking to engage with interested suppliers who can supply the Goods detailed in the procurement description. Suppliers can express interest in the opportunity using the following link: PORTAL ACCESS - Login with URL https://nhssupplychain.app.jaggaer.com// - Click on "SQs Open to All Suppliers" and search for the title of the procurement: SQ_631– Clinical and Pathology Microscopes 2026 PME EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - Click on the 'Response Form' tab. - Answer the question in the Qualification Envelope at 1.1.1 - Click 'submit response. On receipt of an Expression of Interest (EOI), the Authority will issue the Supplier with a Request for Information (RFI) document, and at a later stage of pre-market engagement, the draft Specification & Product List. The RFI document and any further communication in regards of this PME activity only, will be issued via email from email address operatingmicroscopes.pme@supplychain.nhs.uk • 10th November 2025 - 5th December 2025 - Request for Information (RFI) issued, and responses reviewed. • 8th December 2025 - 7th January 2026 – Draft specification and product list shared with PIN/RFI respondents and interested parties for feedback. • 8th January 2026 - 21st January 2026 – Category Team to analyse feedback and amend product list as required. • Supplier webinar: Estimated April 2026 - Registration details to follow when date is confirmed. Suppliers can, at any point during the engagement period (up to 7th January 2026), contact the Authority to discuss the proposed procurement by way of email to operatingmicroscopes.pme@supplychain.nhs.uk There is no guarantee that a formal procurement process will be launched as a result of this early market engagement exercise, nor that any contract(s) will be placed. No remuneration or compensation etc will be paid to organisations who take part in this early market engagement exercise. Suppliers should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.
