Summary of the contracting process

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council, a sub-central government authority in the UK, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a new Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health Framework. The organisation has scheduled a virtual Market Engagement Event for 25 November 2025, via Microsoft Teams, aimed at detailing their commissioning intentions. This initiative is pertinent to the Health and Social Work Services category and is tailored towards the BCP area in the UKK24 region. Providers interested in services like Housing Related Support, Supported Living, and Specialist Care are invited, with registration necessary by 20 November 2025. The anticipated tender for this framework is expected to be released in early 2026 through Supplying the South West.

This procurement opportunity presents substantial growth potential for businesses, particularly those specialising in health and social care services. SMEs and VCSEs are particularly suited to engage in this initiative given the framework's emphasis on person-centred, strengths-based service delivery aligned with BCP Council's vision to enhance individual outcomes. Participating in the engagement event can provide insights into forthcoming requirements and strategic perspectives, positioning businesses to effectively compete when the tender is published. The establishment of a framework agreement offers a long-term opportunity to establish and solidify working relationships with a well-regarded UK local authority, enhancing the business’s profile and service delivery capabilities.
