Summary of the contracting process

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service commissioned post-incident support services for its employees across all regions of Scotland, including remote and rural areas. The service is intended to support the organisation’s Post Incident Support Policy and Mental Health Strategy, reduce occupational injury and ill health, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment. It covers specialist psychological support for staff exposed to potentially traumatising events, alongside early identification and initial response, treatment delivery and continuity, psychological resilience and post-incident support training, and manager support following traumatic events. Scotland Excel conducted the procurement for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, which is the contracting organisation.

The procurement has been awarded following an open procedure. People Asset Management Ltd was selected, and the contract was signed on 20 July 2026. The awarded contract value is £675,449. Renewal: The duration of the contract is two years, with the option to extend by up to two additional periods of 12 months each (2+1+1).
