Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board is inviting tenders for a comprehensive service focused on the collection and disposal of primary care healthcare waste across General Practice and Community Pharmacies. This tender falls within the services category, specifically targeting clinical-waste collection and disposal services in the UKK23 region of the United Kingdom. The contracting process is currently in the tender update stage, with a submission deadline set for 16th December 2025. Businesses adept in providing efficient and sustainable waste disposal solutions, especially those committed to promoting waste segregation, compliance, and innovative tracking data, will find this tender particularly suitable. Companies with robust quality assurance and value-for-money propositions are prioritized, as the contract emphasizes quality (60%) and price (25%) in its awarding criteria and is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
