NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of NICB and is supporting this Provider Selection Regime Competitive Process.<br/>The service will include:<br/>Postoperative Cataract Follow ups<br/>* A post-operative assessment following cataract surgery to be performed by optometrists in optical practices for those people who have uncomplicated surgery and no significant comorbidities specifically requiring a hospital post-operative assessment (i.e. most patients).<br/>* The outcome and dataset required to complete the NOD cataract audit is reported to the surgical provider, as recommended by NICE NG77 and GIRFT.<br/>* Patients with low-risk post-operative issues to be managed by their optometrist<br/><br/>Hydroxychloroquine Screening<br/>* Annual screening of all Northamptonshire patients prescribed Hydroxychloroquine or Chloroquine and at risk of retinopathy.<br/>* Where appropriate, onward referral to HES including all diagnostic findings.<br/><br/>Stable Glaucoma Monitoring<br/>* Annual monitoring of a fixed cohort of patients diagnosed by the HES as low risk of contracting Glaucoma.<br/>* Where appropriate, onward referral to HES including all diagnostic findings.<br/><br/>This notice is to communicate the intention to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Competitive Process.<br/>This contract relates to a new service with the intention to award being made to a new provider.<br/>The contract will commence from 01st August 2026 for 3 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years.<br/>The approximate lifetime value of the contract is expected to be PS3,217,720.50",
