Contract Award Statement: The intention is to award the contract to Health Services Laboratories following the direct award process A under the Provider Selection Regime.<br/><br/>Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Microbiology Department specialised testing and referrals, must be undertaken by a recognised accredited laboratory to ensure that the testing is carried out to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.<br/><br/>Additionally, assurance of testing competence and referral turn around time is essential to enable, rapid diagnosis and management of infectious and genetic diseases.<br/><br/>Micropathology Limited is the sole provider for Nottingham University NHS Trusts Microbiology specialist testing referral work.

The Trust Microbiology Department specialised testing and referrals, must be undertaken by a recognised accredited laboratory to ensure that the testing is carried out to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Additionally, assurance of testing competence and referral turn around time is essential to enable, rapid diagnosis and management of infectious and genetic diseases.
Micropathology Limited is the sole provider for the specialist referral work that is sent.
