Notice Description

This is the contract award notice for the provision of school based counselling service to children and young people within Newport and commences the 8 working day standstill period.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Options: Within the contract period, the service may be required to provide counselling from Reception to Year 13 (5 to 19 years) if this becomes statutory or to be in line with the revised Welsh Toolkit. A period of notice of at least 6 months will be given for any changes required. The Service will predominantly be provided on a face to face basis and free of charge to the client at the point of delivery.

Renewal: The extension is up to 2 years and will be extended on an annual basis subject to review.

Planning Information

This pre-market engagement notice is to establish the suppliers in the market who would be interested in providing this service . The Council will also take the opportunity to discuss and improve the current specification. Suppliers are invited to attend individual pre-market engagement meetings on Wednesday 10 December 2025 at the Civic Centre, Newport, NP20 4UR. Suppliers who wish to attend are requested to email joanneclaire.james@newport.gov.uk. Times to attend will be issued no later than 5 December 2025.
