Notice Information
Notice Title
Contract for the Purchase of Mobile Scaffolding
Notice Description
Gateshead Council is seeking to implement mobile scaffolding systems as part of its ongoing strategy to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with traditional fixed scaffolding. Fixed scaffolding often requires significant time, labour, and expense for erection and dismantling, which impacts project timelines and budgets. By introducing mobile scaffolding solutions, Construction Services Repairs department aims to provide a safer, more flexible, and cost-effective access method for maintenance and repair works across its housing and property portfolio. This approach supports operational efficiency, reduces dependency on external scaffolding contractors, and aligns with our commitment to delivering value for money. The mobile scaffolding system will primarily be used as an alternative to fixed scaffolding for short-duration works and tasks requiring frequent relocation.
