Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for "C412 (2026) – Supply, Delivery and Installation of Office Furniture," managed by Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited, culminated in a contract award on 1st July 2026. This process, classified under the utilities sector, focused on sourcing office furniture solutions for locations across Northern Ireland, specifically including a major project in Craigavon. Conducted through a selective, competitive flexible procedure, this framework agreement spans an initial three-year period, with the option for a two-year extension, offering an estimated value of £735,000. The procurement, governed by Northern Irish devolved regulations, also emphasized a framework allowing multiple qualified suppliers to participate, with the initial contract set to begin on 17th July 2026 and end by 2nd July 2029, with potential extension to 2031.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in the supply and installation of office furniture. Companies with a proven track record in delivering comprehensive furniture solutions and possessing capabilities to manage delivery, installation, and commissioning responsibilities will find this contract particularly appealing. The framework establishes a flexible platform allowing multiple suppliers to engage, making it ideal for SMEs and larger entities alike, as the contract anticipates future phases with unspecified, as-needed furniture requirements. Suppliers capable of innovative delivery and possessing the logistical proficiency to meet such flexible procurement criteria will likely benefit and harness growth opportunities in the office furniture industry.
