Summary of the contracting process

Cambridge City Council has engaged in a procurement process titled "Sheltered Housing Analogue Alarm Upgrade Project," targeting the upgrade of alarm systems. The project, tied to a sub-central government public authority, resides in the Cambridge region (UKH12), United Kingdom. This procurement process has reached the award stage, concluding on 24th June 2026, following a competitive tender. The project is valued at £557,000 (gross), and the direct award was allocated to Everon Group UK for services under the CPV classifications such as alarm systems and surveillance services. The assessment occurred within the constraints of The Procurement Act 2023, and the contract is set for execution from 7th July 2026 to 6th February 2027.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in alarm system supply, installation, monitoring, and maintenance services. The competitive nature and anticipated start date in July 2026 mean that businesses with expertise in digital alarm solutions, especially SMEs, are well-suited to engage with such public contracts. The planned upgrades span 13 sheltered housing schemes, covering approximately 500 properties, necessitating expert management of alarm monitoring and maintenance services. Businesses focusing on digitally compliant warden call systems are particularly apt candidates for addressing the council's requirements in alignment with the national digital phone line switchover. Given the divided lots and comprehensive service needs, collaboration with Cambridge City Council could yield substantial growth prospects for established enterprises within this domain.
