North Northamptonshire Council is undertaking a pre-procurement market engagement exercise to inform the future commissioning of an Integrated Healthy Lifestyles Service (planned go-live 1 April 2027). The Council is seeking early input from potential providers and delivery partners on the feasibility and practical delivery considerations of the proposed service model, including the operation of a single point of access/triage and navigation function, digital and self-help support, community and VCSE-led interventions, and a structured clinical interface (including community and workplace NHS Health Checks).

The scope of the engagement will include discussion of the proposed service model structure (including triage and navigation and the intended digital/self-help, community and structured clinical elements), and how the model can be practically implemented to maximise accessibility, continuity of support and impact. In particular, the Council is seeking feedback to support development of clear referral pathways and step-up/step-down arrangements, including interfaces with wider system partners where relevant. The event will also explore how the service can be effectively integrated with the local VCSE sector and community-based provision, including the potential role of delivery partnerships and subcontracting arrangements. Feedback gathered through the engagement will be used to inform refinement of the service specification, including delivery expectations, performance and outcomes requirements, mobilisation considerations and approaches to improving reach into underserved communities.
