Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) is currently in the planning stage of a potential procurement process for the "Care Service Product and Delivery Partner" initiative. This opportunity involves engaging the market to gather insights from suppliers to help shape future procurement activities related to improving customer experience and operational efficiency within DWP's service offering. Located in London, the procurement activities are initially focused on market engagement through DWP's Atamis Portal, with a webinar scheduled on Wednesday, 17th February 2026. Suppliers are invited to express their interest and submit their response by Monday, 9th March 2026. The procurement falls under the services category, with a planned contract period starting from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2029, potentially extending to 31st August 2031.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, consultancy, software development, industry-specific software packages, and Internet support. With an estimated contract value up to £24,000,000, it is particularly suitable for SMEs and VCSEs given the Department's willingness to explore technological solutions to transform care service delivery. Businesses with expertise in CRM platforms or similar products could play a pivotal role in delivering a common set of technical capabilities to accelerate service delivery transformation. Engaging in this procurement process can help businesses expand their portfolio, influence future public sector strategies, and contribute innovative technologies to support DWP's service roadmap.
