This initiative is categorised under residential health facilities services within the healthcare sector. It aims to establish a six-bed facility providing crisis respite care in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The planned procurement process invites feedback via a market engagement survey, which closes on 23rd January 2026, with a full tender notice expected by 16th February 2026. The contract is set to start on 1st October 2026 and potentially extend till 2030. This pre-tender engagement is critical for understanding market interest and ensuring the project is financially viable, contributing to the NHS's efforts to reduce strain on emergency and inpatient services.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to express interest, highlighting the Trust's commitment to fostering diverse supplier participation. Those capable of delivering 24/7 non-medical crisis support sets may find this tender particularly advantageous for business growth as it aligns with an identified service gap, fostering improved mental health care accessibility in the region.
