Aids for Daily Living 2027
Notice Description
This Framework Agreement is for the supply of Aids for Daily Living to support independence in the home and facilitate timely discharge from hospital to home. It will cover a wide range of products including bathing aids (such as bath boards, shower chairs, grab rails), toileting aids including commodes (such as raised toilet seats, commode chairs), bedroom aids (such as bed rails, transfer aids), home aids (such as perching stools, kitchen aids), mobility aids (such as crutches, walking sticks, walking frames, rollators), spare parts for walking aids (such as ferrules, grips, wheels), paediatric equipment (such as standing aids and mobility supports), and a managed service element to support commissioning of Community Equipment Loan Services. The Framework will also promote circular economy principles through refurbishment, repair, and reuse of equipment, aligned with sustainability objectives.

Engagement Summary to Date The team attended the OT Show in Birmingham on 26th and 27th November 2025 to engage with suppliers, clinicians, and stakeholders, gathering insights on current market offerings, innovation opportunities, and challenges in the provision of aids for daily living. Further engagement included informal discussions with incumbent suppliers and customers to understand performance, reuse initiatives, and sustainability priorities. Planned Engagement Activities Webinar: February 2026 Duration: 1 hour Exact date, registration link and details to follow in due course. • Framework overview and commercial objectives • Specification and product list feedback • Procurement process, participation criteria • Sustainability expectations (including circular economy principles) • Key timelines and milestones Feedback Process The draft specification and product list will be circulated to all PME notice respondents and interested parties for review and comment between 28 01 2026 and 03 03 2026. Feedback on specification, product lines, and evaluation requirements will be submitted via the Messaging Centre within Jaggaer during this period. Additional Notes Ongoing communications will continue via email and/or meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, clinical teams, legal, and resilience. Engagement will emphasise circular economy principles, reuse, and sustainability commitments as part of the framework design.
