Summary of the contracting process

Chartham Parish Council is inviting tenders for a three-year Grass Cutting and Grounds Maintenance Contract spanning from 2026 to 2029. The procurement, scheduled under the "services" industry category, covers various sites within the parish of Chartham, Canterbury, UK, and is structured into three lots: Central Village and Chartham Hatch, St Augustine's Estate, and Chartham Cemetery. This tender process, currently at the tender stage, employs an open procurement method below the threshold level, with the submission deadline set for 30th January 2026, at 17:00. All tender submissions must be made via email, adhering to the specified guidelines.

This procurement process presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in grounds maintenance services to expand their portfolio by securing work within the local government sector. It is particularly beneficial for SMEs with the requisite legal capacity, experience, and the ability to meet the project demands such as grass cutting, strimming, and weed control, while adhering to British Standards and Codes of Practice. Businesses with a strong track record and necessary public liability insurance are encouraged to participate. Winning this contract could provide a stable source of revenue, enhance credibility, and offer the potential for additional grounds maintenance work with the Parish Council.
