Summary of the contracting process

The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is in the planning stage of a public procurement process for a Training Provider for the Community Scrutiny Transformation Programme. This initiative seeks to develop a network of volunteer community scrutineers who will independently evaluate police practices in London. Two key market engagement events are scheduled: an online session on 2nd March 2026 and an in-person session on 11th March 2026, both at 169 Union Street, London SE1 0LL. These sessions are designed to share the proposed training model and obtain feedback from stakeholders, making it crucial for community organisations and training providers interested in contributing to attend. The procurement falls under the services category, focusing on training services, and is valued at £375,000, with the programme set to run from 1st June 2026 to 31st May 2028, with the possibility of renewal.

This opportunity is ideal for training service providers, community organisations, and partners with expertise in scrutinising police practices, particularly those involved with training and community engagement in the public sector. By participating, businesses can play a pivotal role in shaping how scrutiny and training processes are undertaken, fostering fairness and shared understanding among law enforcement and the communities they serve. It presents a strategic opportunity for interested parties to align with MOPAC’s objectives and potentially secure a long-term contract valued at £450,000 gross, involving contributions to a transformative community oversight initiative in London.
