Summary of the contracting process

North Northamptonshire Council has initiated a tender process for a project titled "Severe Mental Health Illness (SMI) and Mental Health Inequalities Project." This scheme falls under the health and social work services category, targeting mental health inequalities, particularly for those living with severe mental health conditions. The procurement is structured into three Lots, each addressing different aspects of mental health and inequality, with an overall budget capped at £70,000, inclusive of VAT. The contract is scheduled to run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. Interested suppliers must submit their quotations by 4:00 pm on 6 February 2026, with queries to be sent to Yvonne Powell at nncphcommissioning@northnorthants.gov.uk by 29 January 2026.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses with expertise in community health services, mental health, and social equity initiatives. Companies specialising in health awareness programmes, cultural competence training, and engagement strategies for marginalised groups would find these Lots particularly promising. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, especially those that can deliver evidence-based and culturally relevant services. The award will prioritise a balance of quality and price, making it an attractive prospect for businesses capable of delivering high-quality service within budget constraints.
