The Travel Plan Advisor will operate across various school environments in the North Northants area and must ensure compatibility with existing council systems and policies. Health and safety considerations must be adhered to during school visits and engagements and includes DBS checks for all individuals involved in delivery of the contract. School Travel Plans The supplier commits to engage and work with a target 40 schools in first year of the contract with an output of 30 completed School Travel Plans submitted onto Modeshift to achieve 'Accredited' status but also to have completed the Modeshift standard pupil mode of travel survey. A requirement that 20 schools will have achieved the 'Good' level of accreditation. A requirement that 5 schools will be deemed to be 'Champion' schools achieving 'Very Good' or above accreditation on Modeshift in the second year of the life of their Travel Plan. These schools as champions will be able to exert peer to peer influence and relevant support to the wider schools community. Each plan must include baseline travel data, identified barriers, proposed actions, and monitoring arrangements. Plans must be uploaded to the Modeshift STARS platform and meet the criteria for at least 'Good' accreditation. A written pledge from the named owner of the school travel plan to commit to continuous development of the travel plan and ambition to achieve an improved rating going forward. This would trigger further soft interventions to the school such as level 3 or other cycle training measures and a suite of other complementary offers. More details of how this would work can be given after contract award and project kick-off meeting.
