Summary of the contracting process

The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP), located in London, has awarded a contract for the "Occupational Health and Employee Benefits Programme," focusing on health services. The programme aims to support DWP's health and wellbeing strategy by providing occupational health services and an Employees Assistance Programme (OHEAP). The procurement stage is in the award and contract update phase, with the contract signed on 30th June 2024 and set to run from 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2027 across the UKD region. The procurement method used was limited, with no prior publication of a call for competition due to specific procedural requirements, and the total contract value is £18,600,000.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in occupational health and employee wellness services, as they can support and enhance the delivery of services aligned with DWP's comprehensive health strategy. Large-scale providers, like People Asset Management Limited, who are well-established within the UK health services industry, are suited to fulfil such contractual obligations. The framework provides a stable engagement over a three-year period, with potential modifications accommodating unforeseen operational needs, thereby creating a flexible yet steady growth opportunity for businesses in this sector.

For Clarity and avoidance of doubt:
This Contract was published on Contracts finder and is being reproduced on FTS in order to publish a Reg 72 PCR2015 modification to it. you can access the original notice here:
https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/Notice/245eb8d6-fdee-4720-926f-ae97b84153c6

The reason that 'award with no prior notice' was used here is because using Restricted Procedure Type required the PIN code of an F02 notice. As this was procured on a framework there was no F02 notice this option was chosen as a workaround to Atamis (DWP's eProcurement system).
