Notice Description
The project centres on developing the land adjacent to Hatchmoor Road, Great Torrington, Devon UK with a view to attracting businesses to create a local employment hub. The project therefore comprises of the: * Construction of employment space totalling 1,230m/2. The buildings are to be of varying sizes fitted out to shell and core; * Construction of a new highway junction and estate road off Hatchmoor Road, along with associated offsite highway improvements to support the site; * Installation of drainage infrastructure for both surface and foul water, including the potential use of soakaways for sustainable surface water management; * Upgrading of existing electrical, drainage and fibre networks to ensure sufficient capacity for the proposed development.

Torridge District Council - Preliminary Market Engagement for Hatchmoor Road, Great Torrington. Preliminary Market Engagement event via Teams on 10th February 2026 from 12:00pm to 13:00pm hosted by J Price Consulting Ltd. The Authority is soon to be submitting a planning application for the development of a local business hub on land adjacent to Hatchmoor Road in Great Torrington, Devon and will be seeking to procure a contractor to undertake the works if permission is granted. The initial phase of development seeks to construct a new highway junction and estate road off Hatchmoor Road, install drainage infrastructure, upgrade the existing service capacities for the proposed development and construct the first phase of variably sized units. The Authority are embarking on a preliminary market engagement exercise that seeks to ensure market awareness of the opportunity. We are looking to invite suitable suppliers in this service line to attend a short meeting on Microsoft Teams to allow a presentation to be shared and feedback to be provided. The Authority wishes to ensure awareness of the opportunity, share details on the scope of the project, determine the markets capacity and capability to deliver these options.
