Summary of the contracting process

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire procured counselling services for Voice for Victims and Witnesses. Lot 2, Road Harm Counselling, was awarded to Assist Trauma Care on the same date for £150,000 excluding VAT (£180,000 including VAT). Each contract is scheduled to run from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2029, with two possible 12-month extensions, allowing a maximum end date of 31 August 2031. The original tender deadline was 20 March 2026, following an enquiry deadline of 27 February 2026. Evaluation weighted quality and social value at 70% and price at 30%.

This award demonstrates established demand from Northamptonshire’s policing and victim-support services for separately commissioned counselling for children and young people and for road-harm victims.
