Summary of the contracting process

Nuclear Restoration Services Limited, a sub-central government public authority, has completed the procurement process for equipment to address silt build-up in storm water drainage systems, located in Warrington, United Kingdom. The contract, valued at £55,830, was directly awarded without competition, reflecting a below-threshold procurement method. The contract period spans from 23rd February to 31st March 2026, with key legal considerations under the UKPGA 2023/54 legislative framework. The procurement category is goods, specifically targeting sewage pumps essential for long-term storm water drainage maintenance.

This procurement offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in water systems equipment, maintenance, or environmental engineering. Companies like Enva Scotland Ltd, which are large-scale suppliers, exemplify suitable candidates capable of delivering specialised equipment that complies with contamination risk protocols. Businesses with capabilities in industrial equipment provision, especially those offering innovative drainage solutions, would greatly benefit from engaging in similar tenders by diversifying their portfolio and enhancing their market presence in the public sector.

Notice Title

Equipment to remove silt build up from the storm water drainage

Notice Description

Purchase of equipment for use by site to remove silt build up from the storm water drainage system and for ongoing preventative maintenance. The drainage system is located within the RCA and there is potential for the equipment to be contaminated. If the equipment used was owned by the contractor, NRS would be issued with costs due to the loss of the contractor's equipment due to contamination. NRS owning the equipment means that we can work alongside the contractor using our own hose and pump, with the contractor providing any additional equipment required, that will not be at risk of contamination.
