Summary of the contracting process

NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has awarded a contract to provide Primary Medical Services at the Anchor Centre and Meridian Practice. This procurement falls under the services category with a focus on general-practitioner services. The contract was officially signed on 18th May 2026 and commenced on 1st April 2026, concluding by 31st March 2027. The total contract value is approximately £1,706,361.28. This contract, governed by the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, was conducted using a direct award process without a prior competitive call, specifically to the existing provider, Primary Care Partners Limited, based on their satisfactory performance and existing service delivery capabilities in Coventry, specified by regions UKG33.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those offering general-practitioner services. Organisations with a strong track record in delivering patient care and capable of meeting rigorous service delivery and legislative requirements will find this contract aligns well with their expertise. This direct award was decided due to the continuity of care required for the patient demographic served by the Anchor Centre and Meridian Practice. Businesses aiming to compete in similar future tenders should focus on building a history of exceptional service delivery standards as demonstrated by satisfaction surveys and CQC ratings, fostering stakeholder engagement, and adhering strictly to healthcare regulations.
