Summary of the contracting process

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for the "National Framework Agreement for the Provision of Autism and ADHD Assessment Services" aimed at addressing the growing demand for these services. The procurement is categorised under Health and social work services and is focused on delivering assessment and diagnosis services across various UK regions including UKC, UKD, UKE, and others. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage with submissions required electronically, following an open procedure method. Key deadlines indicate that tender submissions close on 1st April 2026, with the award expected to start on 3rd April 2026. This three-year framework agreement is being established under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime Regulations, allowing multiple NHS organisations to secure these vital services promptly and compliantly.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for healthcare service providers specialising in autism and ADHD assessments, particularly those offering child and adult services. It is a valuable prospect for medical firms with expertise in assessments, diagnosis, and medication management within these domains. The framework allows for annual reopening, enabling suppliers to expand their service offerings over time. With a projected budget of £15,000,000, businesses with capabilities in psychiatry, paediatric services, and medical personnel services are well-suited to compete and contribute to reducing lengthy waiting lists, thereby enhancing service delivery and organisational growth. The inclusion of combined autism and ADHD pathways also opens doors for multidisciplinary teams looking to offer integrated healthcare solutions across England and Wales.
